Introduction to Illustration
Come learn the basics of illustration - with a focus on children's book illustrations and cartooning. In this class, we will be learning techniques such as shading, proportion, linework, and colouring using several different media. This class is a three week class that will give you the opportunity to create illustrations using pen and ink, coloured pencils, markers, and watercolours. Each week, we will focus on a different media, culminating in the last class where we will create a finished illustration from beginning to end. Using the skills learned in class, students will be able to create unique pieces of art, fun illustrations for cards, or cartoons. This class is designed to incorporate all skill levels, so beginners and artists alike are welcome. We will all leave the class with some beautiful illustrations, no matter the skill level.
Class Fee: $75
Supplies: Please bring newsprint, pens, pencils, coloured pencils, markers, water colours, paintbrushes, and sketchbooks or paper suitable for watercolours and ink.

Cake Decorating 
This beginning cake decorator’s course will cover all the topics you need to make beautiful basic cakes – from leveling and icing a cake, to borders and flowers, to buttercream transfers and fondant. Each cake can be as simple or as complex as suits your tastes. Practice your techniques on your favorite home baked cake and enjoy your edible efforts with your family and friends!
Class Fee: $75, 3 week class (separate from supplies cost)

Supply Fee: $25 (to be paid to instructor the night of the first class, cash or check only)

Supplies students should bring: All students should bring a cake of their choice (single or double layer, 6, 8, or 9 inch round preferred), medium consistency buttercream icing (at room temperature at time of class), a pair of scissors, and a rag or dish towel.
